Say their names
And in the absence of us
What might come about?
Maybe power would grow?
Or might they beat it out
We are not able to vote this away, the time has come for us to disobey
No, we’re shattered now
All that’s left of us, reduced to dust
We’re draining the sun, of all the light it can give
Ripping the lifeblood they gave as a gift
What is the end that will justify our means?
How will we justify their screams?
Does it truly run in our veins?
(Dylan Gillies-Parsons of Gravemind)
Or is it injected into us? Does it feed off the fear? Leave us to hate and poison the atmosphere. We are to sleep, never to wake, never to even learn to make, something of ourselves
We’re shattered now
And all that’s left of us
Will be reduced to dust
Must I unchain the earth from the sun?
Just to show you what we have done
Is this really all that’s left of us
We’re going nowhere

I am more a melodeath guy than deathcore, but I enjoy all the symphonic elements or rythym changes. This album is a BLAST omg my neck hurt, so much headbang🤘🤘 olive855

Before Ashen, I thought they were overrated. Deathcore bands seem to have a capacity to evolve quickly. I’ve seen quite a few bands in this genre grow exponentially from one album to the next, and Ashen is a particularly strong example. Metallurgical Fire

The whole album is pure gold! Sometimes I just sit down and listen to the whole album and do nothing else. Awesome rhythms, riffs and Courtney's golden voice! <3 Pazi
